Since 15 October a group of protesters have been holding an occupation in the City of London. This is part of a global movement that is protesting about the way in which the financial system has been acting in the interests of the top 1% of the population.
This week members of the Carlisle Green Party travelled to London to spend time with the protestors and see the occupation at first hand.

Credit unions provide a not-for-profit and ethical alternative to the multinational banks. Any Green councillors elected in Carlisle would prioritise massively expanding the role that the credit union plays in financing local peoples' lives.
