Carlisle & Eden Green Party meeting dates 2012

Monthly party meetings run from 7pm til 9pm and are held in the Community Room of Carlisle Firestation on Warwick Street.

 The business part of the meeting runs between 7pm-7:50pm and is open to members only.

Non-members are welcome to join us for refreshments at 7:50pm and join in with our regular policy discussions between 8pm-9pm, which are often complemented by a talk/presentation from a guest speaker.

Carlisle Greens Back the N30 Strikes

November 30th has been marked the largest strike in a generation. Two million people have taken action and 1000 demonstrations have taken place across the country, and Carlisle saw its largest demonstration in years.

According to ITV Border News, ‘best estimates suggest that 1500 people marched through the city centre.

Occupy LondonSince 15 October a group of protesters have been holding an occupation in the City of London. This is part of a global movement that is protesting about the way in which the financial system has been acting in the interests of the top 1% of the population.

Green candidate John Reardon will attend pre-election hustings in Carlisle

The local elections are approaching and the Public & Commercial Services Union (PCS) are holding a 'Question Time' style meeting at: Club 35, 35 Lowther St, Carlisle on Wed 27th at 7pm.

The event will be publicised to the local media and members of the public are invited to attend and submit questions.
